Tom Hanks…you are truly one of a kind

Tom Hanks, in my opinion, is a phenomenal actor. He has done an excellent job in every movie I have ever seen him in. He allows you to fall into the story and believe he actually is the person he is playing. That description doesn’t do him justice.  His ability to do what he does…..bar none.

One of the “line items” on my Life Long List is to watch all of the Tom Hanks movies. So I thought I would gather them all here and note which I have seen, etc. There are 50 according to Google and I have seen 23 of them as of 06/06/18.

  1. He Knows You’re Alone
  2. Splash
  3. Bachelor Party
  4. The Man with One Red Shoe
  5. The Money Pit – I found this movie absolutely hysterical. I double over laughing every time I watch it.
  6. Nothing in Common
  7. Every Time We Say Goodbye
  8. Dragnet
  9. Big
  10. Punchline
  11. The ‘Burbs
  12. Turner and Hooch
  13. Joe Versus the Volcano
  14. The Bonfire of Vanities
  15. A League of their Own
  16. Sleepless in Seattle
  17. Philadelphia
  18. Forrest Gump
  19. Apollo 13 – I don’t really do space movies as I feel like I never breathe when watching them, but this movie was excellent. It really made me think about the astronauts situation.
  20. Toy Story
  21. That Thing You Do!
  22. Saving Private Ryan
  23. You’ve Got Mail
  24. Toy Story 2
  25. The Green Mile – This movie had parts that were comical, but it was another movie that really just made you think about people’s situations.
  26. Cast Away – Excellence. How he does an entire movie basically by himself, is just incredible.
  27. Road to Perdition
  28. Catch Me if You Can
  29. The Ladykillers
  30. The Terminal
  31. The Polar Express – There’s actually a lot of dislike out there on this movie and I don’t know why.  I thoroughly enjoyed it!
  32. Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon
  33. The Da Vinci Code
  34. The Ant Bully
  35. Charlie Wilson’s War
  36. The Great Buck Howard

  39. Toy Story 3
  40. Larry Crowne
  41. Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close
  42. Cloud Atlas (started once, might not finish)
  43. Captain Phillips – I’m telling you the man has great skill in playing serious roles in dire straights. Another fantastic movie.
  44. Saving Mr Banks
  45. Bridge of Spies
  46. A Hologram for the King
  47. Sully
  48. Inferno
  49. The Circle
  50. The Post

Movies, Movies, Movies

I love to watch movies! I enjoy action and adventure, mystery-ish, comedy, documentary, ‘based on true stories’….okay, I won’t list all the genres of movies I like or we’ll be here till next week! Suffice it to say that I enjoy watching movies of all sorts! Everyone always asks

What’s your favorite movie? Like ever. Best movie hands down?

How do you answer this question?? There are a million movies in all sorts of genres, as depicted above ;), how do you narrow that down to pick 1 movie? I have no idea, so don’t expect an answer here!

I can talk about what some of my favorite movies are though! I mean, who can’t talk about their favorite things?

Even as I type this I am feeling flutters of anxiety in leaving a good movie out (get a grip, Abbey!)

Okay! So movies that top my list here we come!

Titanic. I’d say this is my favorite movie ever. I have loved the history of the Titanic since I was little, so having the events portrayed in a movie, with Leonardo DiCaprio is awesome for me. To see the happenings of that voyage unfold…I get chills just thinking about it.

Inceptionthis is another Leo movie that is incredible. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a dream inside a dream inside a dream. please go watch it as it is a great mind bender movie. each time I watch it, I find things that I didn’t catch before. and it has a pretty darn good cast as well.

Marvel in general has produced some crazy good movies. Thor: Ragnarok, Ant Man, The Avengers would be the three to top my list. the first two because they were very comical and the third because it’s the first time you see the Avengers in action and it’s awesome.

Date Night is hysterical. we just rewatched it the other night and I was rolling laughing. Steve Carrell and Tina Fey are honestly the perfect combo. and throwing in a little shirtless Mark Wahlberg doesn’t hurt.

Oceans Eleven, Oceans Twelve, Oceans Thirteenoh my word. this trilogy might be overturning my current favorite. the cast in these movies…..huge names and phenomenal skills. Eleven would undoubtedly be my favorite of the three.

How to Steal a Million with Audrey Hepburn is so comical and sweet. She does a wonderful job and Peter O’Toole is excellent as well.

Well, there you are! Some of my favorite movies all lined in a row!

Thoughts on my movie choices? What are you favorite movies?
