Posted in A Little Bit About Me, Favorites Friday!, Marriage

So if you didn’t figure it out from the title of my blog post….this gal right here is engaged and I am doing this marriage thing!!

I know, I know!! Exciting stuff, right!? I’ve been dying to tell y’all and I was finally able to take the time to sit down and write the good news post! So buckle in for a quick run through of the details!

Two weeks ago on March 22nd we went out to dinner at an Italian restaurant. While we were eating our pasta we started talking about us and how far we have come since October when we started dating. He tells me some of the sweetest things I’ve ever heard and pulls out this gorgeous ring! *Cue the waitress gal* She comes up to our table and asked us all sorts of questions, but once she finally scooted, he asked “will you marry me?” and I literally about died from hearing the words. It was one of the most incredible moments of my life. If you’ve ever been proposed to, you totally understand what I’m saying. It’s hard to quantify that feeling with words. It’s kind of overwhelming knowing that someone is voluntarily choosing you out of the millions of gals in the world. They are choosing to spend the rest of their life with you, through the good and through the bad.

So who’s the good looking man I’m marrying? Wonderful question, I’m so glad you asked! His name is Josh and he is a pilot. He currently teaches new students how to fly airplanes and he really enjoys it! He’s a couple years older than me and we’ve known each other for probably 12-13 years. He’s so similar to my dad in so many aspects that it just cracks me up. He’s silly and goofy. Uses funny voices and makes up random words. He loves sports, which was always something I hoped for in a husband. He loves to bake and cook, which could be bad for our waist lines. He’s also a drummer! He loves to travel and visit new places just as much as I do. Honest to goodness, I couldn’t have found a better man!! ❤ God is so good.

So what’s next? You ask the greatest questions! He has been looking for work since we started dating due to that fact that where we live doesn’t have consistently great weather for teaching new students how to fly due to snow, wind, rain, clouds…you get the picture. So we decided to get married before we move to avoid having to move twice and be apart from each other for an extended period of time. So! The wedding date is June 29th of this year. Yes…I know it’s quick. I ain’t worried! 😉 We are looking at a couple places on the east coast and a couple places in the mid-west. So we will see what happens in that department!!

That’s all of my update for the day! I will keep you updated as the weeks continue to go by…no worries there 😉

Leo….you continue to wow me

Okay, I know so many people dislike Leonardo DiCaprio, but I think he is an excellent actor and does a fantastic job in everything. I think he is able to make you believe he is who he’s acting, and he does it well.
One of the “line items” on my Life Long List is to watch all of his movies, just like Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock. So I thought I would gather them all here and note which I have seen, etc. There are 40 according to Google and I have seen 7 of them as of 03/01/19. I am honestly totally shocked and extremely disappointed in myself at this low number!
