Longwood Gardens

Today is a special day for two reasons….one, I get to talk about plants! 🌱🌵 Which, if you’ve been around for a little bit, you know I love!! two, it’s been six months of dating my best friend! ❤️ I chose today to talk about plants because this is where he took me for Christmas. I tell you…he hit the nail on the head with this one! This day was one of the best days for so many reasons and I just can’t talk about it enough. I wanted to share some pictures and give my utmost recommendations on checking this place out. Even if you don’t live close, which we don’t, you need to take the drive and check it out. Like seriously, go look it up and plan a trip. If not here specifically, find a greenhouse/garden around you.

He kept this a secret from me for a whole month, and I think I almost died with curiosity as to where we were going. We loaded up early in the morning and started our trek out. About halfway into the trip he finally told me where we were going and I was off the wall with excitement!! Longwood Gardens in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. aka a massively huge garden, greenhouse, plant place with an incredible Christmas decor for the season. Yeah, I was excited. They had trees wrapped in lights outside. They had lights set up like trees outside. There was a water to music show. There were light balls hung as garland. There were lights set up like falling snow. Trees made out of birdhouses. And this was all outside. They have the biggest indoor greenhouse. Oh my word, words cannot describe or get you to understand how incredibly beautiful it all was.

On top of the beauty in the pictures, it was the sweetest day because it was a thoughtful gift that was better than a wrapped up present. I was able to spend the whole day doing something I love with the person I love. Call me cheesy and go ahead and barf in your mouth (believe me, I am as I’m typing it. I’m such a mushball these days). I was pleasantly elated to hear that he enjoyed himself as well and wants to go to another greenhouse in the future.

Enough jabbering, check out these beautiful plants!!
