I want to share with you the four different patterns for the four head warmers I have crocheted so far!! The picture shown on the right has three of the four head warmers and we will be working from the bottom of the picture to the top. The picture on the left is the last pattern and is discussed at the bottom of the post. As for the yarn, since I was gifted it all, I have no idea of the brand, color, weight, etc. So sorry!
Three of the four patterns I found from Krista’s website, Rescued Paw Designs. I didn’t mean to end up there that many times, so I guess it shows that she has wonderful patterns 🙂 Head to her website and check out all the other patterns she has.
The third pattern we are going to talk about is the Puffed Crocheted Headband (it is the top head warmer in the picture on the right. the yellow one) Please head over to this link to see the pattern as I cannot place it on here due to copyright issues and let Krista know what you think of the pattern.
Yarn: I love the bright yellow of this yarn!! It is so summery! It was a very rough texture though.
Hook: I can’t remember! Either a G, H, or I.
Size: I would venture to say teenager.
Stitches: Chain, slip stitch, half double crochet, single crochet.(head here to see an incredibly wonderful description of crochet stitches)
Pattern: Head to her website through the link above to see the patterns.
Here’s what I crocheted: I started with a larger chain than Krista suggested, but I don’t remember how many it was. I did the pattern exactly the rest of the way.
I LOVE this pattern!! I really enjoyed the stitches and the result was phenomenal. I will definitely be making this one again!
Yarn: I love this blue color and the gray was quite soft!
Size: I never use a gauge, so I don’t know how many stitches are in an inch. Therefore I also have no idea what size of a head this would fit. I would venture to say teenager.
Stitches: Single crochet and double crochet (head here to see an incredibly wonderful description of crochet stitches)
Pattern: Head to the link above to see the actual pattern.
Here’s what I crocheted: I did the pattern exactly, but added a chain at the end to wrap around the head warmer because I was at the end of the blue yarn and didn’t want to waste it!
I enjoyed this pattern! It was simple to do (there seems to be a theme here) and came together in no time! I crocheted it while watching a football game on Christmas!
