CHALLENGE – The Classics Club

No matter how many how many classics I read, I always feel that I haven’t read very many and I need to pick up the pace! On my Top Ten Fall TBR post last week, I included 5 classics that are perfect for this fallish time of year and I felt pretty proud of myself (and I hadn’t even done anything yet! …doesn’t take much folks). As I perused the various Top Tens on The Broke and the Bookish linky, I came across Nicky over @ An Introverted Bookworm and found that she had recently started a neat challenge that I hadn’t heard of before. It’s all about reading classic books! I thought to myself “This is perfect!” So with some extra encouragement from Nicky, I headed over to the Classics Club Blog (where this challenge has originated and is “monitored”) and read the FAQ about this challenge. I decided that it is going to be crazy hard, but could also be crazy good! Below is a snippet of the information you’ll need to know and here is the rest of the information from the Classics Club Blog.

  • choose 50+ classics (more than 25 years old) and list them at your blog
  • choose a Reading Completion goal date up to five years from now and note the start and end date with the list of classics
  • email the moderators of the Classics Club Blog ( with your list link/information and it will be posted on their Members Page!
  • write about each title on your list as you finish reading them and link it to your main list
  • when you’ve written about every title, let Classics Club blog know!

SO readers and readerettes (it’s like dudes and dudettes for non-reader people) now is the time for my Classics Challenge!!
